METAL FABRICATOR/WELDER, (HR 18.31)

Marid Industries Limited is currently recruiting for a position of Metal Fabricator/Welder for its Night Shift production shop.  This position will be responsible to lay out and assemble various steel parts, in accordance to drawing specificaitons for special projects.  This position will utilize flux and metal core welding and ensure applicable procedures and standards are adhered to.

The ideal candidate will possess the following: (knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience)

• Completion of Grade 12
• Metal Fabrication diploma from a recognizable educational institution.
• Equivalent in extensive experience and/or training of above knowledge may be accepted.*
• Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and apply them to practical situations.
• Safety training, overhead crane, first aid, whmis, hazard identification, etc...
• Communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow procedures and policy.

YARD LABORER (HR 18.13)

Marid Industries Limited is currently recruiting for a full time permanent Yard Laborer to join our production team.  This position will ensure that various steel structures, parts and pieces are organized appropriately and safely in the steel yard, allowing for efficient and effective shop processing.

The ideal candidate will possess the following: (knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience)

• Completion of Grade 12
• Knowledge of metric and imperial measurement is required.
• One to two years industry related experience
• Overhead crane training
• Forklift certification
• WHMIS, Safety Orientation, First Aid
• NS Driver's License
